Why Take Organ Lessons?

I believe in nurturing a love for the organ in my students and fostering musical growth in a supportive and inspiring environment. My goal is to help my students develop their skills, musicality, and a lifelong appreciation for the organ! Organ lessons are tailored to the needs of each student and can provide instruction in music theory, technique, repertoire, hymn playing, accompaniment, and more! Taking organ lessons is a fantastic way to begin or continue your journey in music at any age or skill level!

Private Lesson Overview:

• 45 min lessons weekly or biweekly.

• Individualized lessons tailored to the student's goals.

• Instruction can include the following: 

  • Manual and pedal technique

  • Organ console components

  • Organ registration (the art of selecting organ stops)

  • Hymn playing techniques

  • Organ repertoire

  • Organ accompaniment

  • Goal-centered and efficient practice habits.

• Development of confidence to play in church services and concert settings according to your goals and desires.
